Best Italian in Cologne and I've frequented quite a few at this point. We had a celebratory dinner and did not order a la carte, but had a more Italian styled dinner, ranging from several antipasti over a pasta course to a wide assortment of main courses. Our host, Jonas, was an absolute legend. Now put all those ingredients together and you have a 10/10 experience. Sorry, did not take pictures. Was busy eating.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. We asked for recommendations on just about everything and our waiter Jonas did not disappoint. He even recommended us a wine to pair with it. I’ve been living in Germany for a few months now and I can easily say Jonas is the best service at a restaurant I have received. He genuinely cares about his customers.

We visited Ristorante Il Tartufo in Cologne as a family of three to celebrate my son’s birthday. The restaurant itself is beautiful, offering a very good ambience and highly professional staff.For our meals, we ordered a mix of pizza and pasta. Everything tasted absolutely delicious and was cooked perfectly.The only downside to our evening was the service consistency. We noticed every other table received complimentary bread with their drinks. We had to specifically ask twice before any was brought to our table. Additionally, the waiter proactively visited every surrounding table to check on guests, but only came to our table when we actively called him over. This felt a bit unpleasant, especially for a birthday celebration.However, the excellent food quality and lovely atmosphere made up for it. We would still recommend it for a tasty Italian meal in Cologne!

A fantastic italian with such a narrow front view you would almost miss it. But you shouldn't. The food it top notch. Amazing italian dishes with certain ingredients straight from Italy itself. We ordered three pizzas and a pasta. Pizzas were like they should be made and the pasta was superb. I have a weakness for tiramisu so I needed it. Haven't tasted one so good in a while. The restaurant isn't very wide but stretches over a great length of property. Inside it's very italian-like: cozy and tight seating and a packed and chatty atmosphere. We were seated at the back, outside (covered possibility with heating) and up the stairs. The less attractive part honestly but not bad one seen the circumstances. Very hot and a shortage of fresh air inside.

The seating arrangement can feel a bit chaotic, with tables placed very close to one another, which makes the space quite noisy and less intimate for quiet conversations. As for the food, the pasta dishes stand out as the highlight—well-prepared, flavorful, and satisfying. The pizzas are decent and enjoyable, though they don’t quite reach the same level as the pastas. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re looking for a vibrant dining experience and good Italian comfort food, but perhaps not the best option if you prefer a calm, spacious setting.
