Hofgarten

Beautiful park and walk leading to and from Veste Coburg, an impressive castle dating from 1056. You can walk up through the Hofgarten to the castle if you feel energetic, or catch a bus and walk down the winding path through the garden to the old part of the town

One definitely visits this hill top park if they visit Coburg. It's a large area to cover everything definitely takes time, considering it's uphill and downhill terrain. But it's beautiful and sitting with a relaxing sun in the winter or having a picnic in the summer is both amusing and enjoyable. Or if you are athletic, then jogging is refreshing A suggested place for everyone new in Coburg.

Great well kept place for a walk and a break away from the noise and busyness of the town. It can be quite strenuous so do take some water with and a small snack or go for a proper picnic. Good spot for the kids to run wild just one rule for them... Kids must leave all their energy at the gardens. Look out for the kids play areas where there are some things for them to jump around on. Enjoy the fresh clean air as you clear your mind and reflect on life.
