Took my daughter in may2026. Out ticket included accesse to the aquarium. It was a nice addition to visiting the the zoo. Many fish and tanks on display. Pirahnas and 'nemo' ... dont miss the insects upstairs. A wonderful display on ants 🐜. A huge ecosystem with many eggs and family of ants. Beware of the room in the corner.. Although 🏷 .. Live spiders and possible full contact if you get off the path.. At first I was in awe of the flower garden. Not realizing ohhh, that's a spider hanging there.. And then it hit there's nothing between me and them. He can litterally spit a web at me.. My thoughts, wondering if someone ever fell into a web

Nice small aquarium, no huge aquariums there, but still big selection of tropical and smaller river/ ocean fish. Great addition to the end of the day after a zoo. There are also reptiles on the top floor and insects. There is a small room with free roaming spiders.

A fantastic part of Cologne Zoo and definitely worth visiting. The aquarium is actually quite big and has a great variety of fish, reptiles, and other sea creatures. There’s a lot to see and it keeps both kids and adults interested. It’s also a nice indoor break from the zoo, especially when you need a bit of rest from walking. We visited with kids and they really enjoyed exploring all the different sections. Overall, a really well-done aquarium and a highlight of the zoo experience.

Very well planned and structured exhibits. This was a very fun place for kids and adults alike. Viewing of the animals was easy and the selection of creatures was very good. Loved this place!

A nice dessert after the main course that is the zoo. Nowhere near as big but still featuring numerous different habitats and areas to explore. Definitely a more relaxed and laidback vibe when compared to the zoo.
