Made it 1/10 booked nights before seeking accommodation elsewhere. The room had no electricity, so couldn't charge any devices. The guest kitchen was digusting and unhygienic, with no cooking utensils and what looked like layers of potentially months-old food crusted onto the inside of the microwave and oven. There were a bunch of school groups booked there at the time and there were teenagers running and screaming and yelling at the top of their lungs up and down the hallways until about 3am when they tired themselves out. The internet connection would only work for about 5 minutes out of every 15. The staff were friendly but clearly very understaffed and unable to help with any of these problems, including the shortening of my stay and request for a refund on the days that I would not be staying. I would recommend staying literally anywhere else.

Our daughter is studying abroad in Milan and went to Florence for the weekend. She was told that she could check in using a picture of her passport on her phone and when she got there, they would not allow her to check in and they would not refund her money. Not only was a 20-year-old student left stranded, trying to find a room late at night, but they would not even give her the courtesy of refunding her money when she had received that information. No one seemed to care and they were dismissive of her concerns and would not try to help in anyway.

Bad service. Toilet and shower in the room without ventilation. OK for a one night stay, but there are other better hostels. Near the entrance to the hostel I met a lot of rats in the evening. Most of the staff do not speak German which I find unacceptable if you work in Germany.
