Winklstüberl is a biergärten in München, Bayern. It is listed at Eduard-Stadler-Winkel 3, 80686 München-Sendling-Westpark, which places it among the local businesses of München that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. For a place to eat or drink in Germany, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open today (many restaurants keep a weekly Ruhetag), does it take reservations for dinner, and does the menu suit your group. Tipping is modest, rounding up or adding 5-10% when you pay, and while cards are accepted in most places, cash is still the safe choice at bakeries, Imbiss stands and beer gardens. Tap water is not served automatically, and bottles you take away carry a Pfand deposit.
Opening hours are published for 5 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 am–10 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Tuesday. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Winklstüberl on 089 54726285; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions, and many businesses also take enquiries and bookings by e-mail or WhatsApp. More information is available on its website, winkelstueberl-muenchen.de.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 545 reviews, which is a strong result for a biergärten in München and suggests consistent service.
München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The place is absolutely lovely, and very comfortable. I had a very bad experience, my gf and I went for a couple beers on the biergarten, and while we were there, there was a table of 3 young German guys, drinking beers as well, they asked for the for the check and wanted to pay by card, and the owner told them only together, not separately, the payment via card was possible. Later I asked for my check and wanted to pay by card, together (it was only me and my gf) and the owner, instead of saying the same thing that he said to the group of German guys, told me angrily: you should always ask before hand! You should pay cash… After shouting at us in front of the entire biergarten, he agreed to let me pay by card while being angry, I told him that he allowed the German guys pay by card without getting mad, and he just told me that the bank transfers the money a month later, that’s why he prefers cash. As a foreigner paying a lot of taxes I understand that as a business owner, you prefer cash (duh), but you can’t make rules for your German clients and then deny those conditions to the foreign clients right in our noses. It’s a shame because I live next to the place and I loved the

This little beer garden along Westendstraße is a nice find. The menu offers a good selection of dishes, including fish and vegetarian options. All dishes we tried were tasty and was served promptly. Even the side salad was fresh and came with a delicious dressing. The dessert portions were generous, with the chocolate cake being a standout - served warm and rich with a deep chocolate flavor. However, the vanilla ice cream was a bit icy. The Bavarian cream was airy and delicate, pairing perfectly with the tangy raspberry coulis. Prices are decent for Munich, and while the service was efficient and fast, it wasn't particularly friendly. Overall, a pleasant dining experience.

Very nice but small during winter, I think in summer it would be really nice place.

What a delightful surprise! I have lived in this neighborhood for 1 year, and for some reason had always said "oh we have to try this place" but never got around to it until this past weekend. The service was very good, and the food was excellent! The grilled vegetables were particularly special - and nice to see that on the menu, as it's not so common at a biergarten. Outdoor seating was fantastic, and nice lighting on the trees makes a night nighttime atmosphere, and the kids enjoyed the small playground. It took us a year to visit, but now that we know, we'll be back often!

We've visited the place today and the waiter was unfortunately without smile, that degraded the experience. The portions are huge, so if you are very hungry, it's a good place for you. Unfortunately today the "Käse spetzle" were too salty in my case and the salat was too sauer :/ You can sit inside and also outside. You can meet quite a lot of local Bavarians there.
