About WATAMI
WATAMI is a sushi in Gersthofen, Bayern. It is listed at Hery-Park 3000, 86368 Gersthofen, which places it among the local businesses of Gersthofen that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. For a place to eat or drink in Germany, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open today (many restaurants keep a weekly Ruhetag), does it take reservations for dinner, and does the menu suit your group. Tipping is modest, rounding up or adding 5-10% when you pay, and while cards are accepted in most places, cash is still the safe choice at bakeries, Imbiss stands and beer gardens. Tap water is not served automatically, and bottles you take away carry a Pfand deposit.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. The most common schedule is 12–3 pm. It is closed on Monday. As with most places, expect changes around public holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach WATAMI on 0821 90795110; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions, and many businesses also take enquiries and bookings by e-mail or WhatsApp. Its website is sushi-watami.de, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Customers rate it 4.5 out of 5 on Google across 2,330 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded sushi & japanisch in Gersthofen.
Gersthofen is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around Gersthofen is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

We had a very pleasant experience here. Food just came to our table one by one in minutes after we finished the ordering on the iPad they provided. Unique flavours. Family friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. To note: Bento box fried chicken with teriyaki sauce came with a soup and salat which we were not aware of.

Okay I may have just found the greatest all you can eat restaurant in the world. The food is godly and the chicken is some of the best I have eaten. I also love the idea of ordering by IPad. The best deal is the all you can eat as it is only 20 euros. The only downside is that you have to wait ten minutes between ordering five items. The staff were really nice and the food is hand made. Overall 10/10

I usually don't rate all-you-can-eat restaurants 5-stars. However, listen why the WATAMI still gets full score. First of all, the food is great. The sushi is surprisingly tasty, fresh and uses real sushi rice. In a lot of other places you get regular Jasmin rice which is not the same. The ordering system is cleverly thought through (your order goes through via tablets on each table) and the service very friendly and fast. The ambience is modern yet shows a lot of classically Asian themes. The tables are big and very clean. Overall absolutely recommended for a smaller or larger party of friends who want to eat lots of good food very affordably. Business dinners make for a good experience too!

I did the all you can eat. The ordering on the tablet is fun! The location and ambiance is very nice. Waitstaff was prompt. The food itself was ok but certainly not the best. My favorite was the desert: coconut balls. Absolutely delicious. I may consider trying their regular menu if I go back.

Nice place and excellent food. Ordering via an iPad was a bit of a novelty, but soon quickly understood. They have a very wide selection of food, which was very original in taste. Pleasant ambience and enough parking close by. We tried the buffet, which allow you to eat as much as you like. It was so good, we ate too much.
