For beauty and wellness businesses, it is worth asking how long the treatment takes, whether the quoted price includes VAT and what the cancellation policy is. Popular slots fill quickly, so book early. German saunas and thermal baths have their own etiquette: most sauna areas are textile-free (no swimwear), you sit on your towel, you shower before every session, and the Aufguss, the attendant's steam ritual, runs to a posted timetable.

As with most places, expect changes around public holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is 0176 70735876. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. Its website is urbanbeautyconcept.de, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Erlangen is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.
