Erlangen is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around Erlangen is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

Would like to express sincere gratitude to Esther Paulmann, Lukas Wolf, and especially Dr. Jana Haag, Dental Studies Program Coordinator. All three were consistently responsive and demonstrated excellent coordination across university departments. They were readily available to answer questions and handled all communication with a high level of professionalism. Dr. Jana Haag, in particular, stands out for her extensive subject-matter expertise, positive and constructive approach to daily responsibilities, and strong commitment to supporting applicants. Her professionalism and engagement clearly reflect a genuine dedication to her field, her role, and the university. The involvement of such dedicated and motivated staff contributes significantly to a transparent and reassuring application process. Many thanks to the team for their support and professionalism.
