Cars in Germany need the main inspection (Hauptuntersuchung, by TÜV or DEKRA) every two years, and a workshop that handles it for you is worth keeping in your contacts. Ask for an itemised estimate before work starts, check whether the price includes labour and VAT, and ask whether original or aftermarket parts are used. A Vertragswerkstatt costs more than an independent workshop but keeps the manufacturer's warranty intact, and winter tyres are required whenever conditions are wintry.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 7 am–12:45 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Very professional and friendly staff. They are also fluent in English, which made communication easy. The receptionist was very welcoming, and the inspectors were professional and helpful as well. The inspection started on time, and the waiting area was comfortable, with good coffee and a very clean restroom.

Fast and friendly service and knowledgeable team working here. Appointments are taken pretty much on time and the inspections are done within the promised 30 minutes. They will take you into the garage and show you exactly what needs to be reviewed and perhaps even changed or replaced.
