Property decisions carry more risk than most purchases, so read the contract carefully; for a purchase the notary (Notar) certifies it. German rental listings quote Kaltmiete (rent without utilities) and Warmmiete (rent plus Nebenkosten such as heating and water); the deposit (Kaution) is capped at three months' cold rent, and for rentals the landlord pays the agent under the Bestellerprinzip. Visit at different times of day to judge noise and light, and register your new address at the Bürgeramt (Anmeldung) after moving in.
No opening hours are on file. If you plan a visit, phone first or check the Google Maps link on this page for the latest times, and remember that most shops in Germany close on Sundays and public holidays. Kösching is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.
