Medical services in Bayern range from neighbourhood practices to university hospitals. Bring your insurance card, any previous test results and a list of medications you take. Your Hausarzt (family doctor) is normally the first stop and issues the referral (Überweisung) that specialists and hospitals ask for. Pharmacies (Apotheken) are separate businesses that dispense the prescription you are handed, and every district keeps a Notdienst rota so that one pharmacy is open at night and on Sundays.

No opening hours are on file. If you plan a visit, phone first or check the Google Maps link on this page for the latest times, and remember that most shops in Germany close on Sundays and public holidays. You can reach Tierarztpraxis Bettina Müller on 0821 6610879; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions, and many businesses also take enquiries and bookings by e-mail or WhatsApp. More information is available on its website, augsburg-tierarzt.de.

Customers rate it 4.9 out of 5 on Google across 138 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded tierärzte & tierkliniken in Augsburg.

Augsburg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around Augsburg is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.
