Regensburg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I have looked all over Germany for a handmade German marionette, since I am a collector of marionettes made around the world. I stumbled upon one in this store window, and the shop owner was so kind, told me the name of the artist who made it and had a lovely little chat about the craft. I bought it. Posting this review in case any other weirdos out there are also seeking marionettes. The stock in the store is mostly for children, but there are some higher-end items and figurines that adults would enjoy.
