I had two bad experiences from my rental here. Firstly, they falsely claimed I damaged the vehicle. They sent a report saying there was "dirt on the front seat." I was shocked. I requested photographic evidence and they sent the attached photo. There is clearly no dirt on the seat. There is some tiny dirt on the floor mat that is normal and ordinary - NOT DAMAGE. I had to file a support request with Sixt support to deal with this. This was a very bad experience to be falsely accused of damages. Secondly, after picking up the BMW M440, I was shocked to discover it was riding on winter conditons tires IN AUGUST. Snow tires are innapropriate for the heat of August and can be damgerous. Overall this was a concerning rental from the start and it ended with a bad experience. I hope this is not indicive of Sixt overall, but I certainly will be cautious about renting from them in the future

Extremely disappointing experience at the Friedrichshain branch. I specifically booked a BMW X3 because I needed an SUV for a scheduled 700 km drive that day. Upon arrival, I was informed that the reserved vehicle was unavailable, as well as any other SUV option. Key issues from this visit: Zero prior notice about the vehicle's unavailability Over an hour delay at the counter trying to resolve the issue Forced to compromise on a different vehicle class due to time constraints and a long drive ahead Unreliable service and a total lack of transparency. Expected much better from Sixt.

DO NOT BOOK HERE. Horrible service, you will be left with no car at this branch and be forced to either find an emergency new car or pay an upgrade for a better version. Was told twice by 2 different people id have my reservation transferred, next day of course it wasn’t and I had to pay 200 extra on top of the original for a new car.

While the car we got worked well, it is the same case as always, you book a specific model, and yet they do not have it - and you start a process of them trying to upsell you more expensive models, etc... we got luckiky a bit nicer, yet smaller model than we hoped for. The person helping us was extremely aggressive trying to upsell every single additional thing, and especially scaring customers with not aelecting the most expensive protection. Stating, that even the smallest scratch from a rock while driving, would cost us 200e per incident. We started our weekend trip full of stress, and did not enjoy the rental, even though we had no incidents. Return and pickup was easy.

I strongly advise against renting from this Sixt Berlin branch. Our experience was shocking and clearly shows a pattern of misleading and coercive behavior: No official receipt or invoice: After paying, we received nothing on paper. Everything was only shown on their iPad. The staff said they would email us a receipt via a third-party rental app. I insisted on an invoice, and he claimed he would send it to my email—but it’s been over a month, and we never received anything. Insurance chaos: We booked through a third-party app and purchased full coverage (super insurance). The Sixt staff refused to recognize it, claiming we had to buy their insurance. They contradicted themselves—saying they don’t accept third-party insurance but also that receipts would be sent to the third-party email. Despite my insistence and confirmation from the third-party support that insurance was already paid, they forced us to pay an “emergency fee,” claiming it was not optional. Unnecessary charges and manipulation: The payment list included items like “Comfort Features” and “Adhesive Tape.” Staff initially insisted these were mandatory, but after I refused, they removed them—proving these were optiona
