München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in München, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

I highly highly recommend checking out this store. Everything I bought works perfectly! The owner was super chill and friendly. Before buying anything, he assembled the whole system to show me how it works and how to assemble it myself. I rarely give reviews but had to make an exception for this one!

UPDATE: the new shop is really fantastic! There is now a proper listening area (to make a proper speaker choice), the shop is much bigger and better to look at the equipment, and they even have a recording studio! A really impressive improvement. PREVIUS REVIEW: As enthusiasm for (real) Hi-Fi fades and the specialist shops become scarce, that it is nice to see a second-hand Hi-Fi and repair shop standing. Munich is the capital for one of the most relevant fairs, so I was hoping to see more high-end devices. There were some gems indeed, like some Luxman pieces, an Hitachi pre-power combo grabbed my attention, for the German Design lovers some Braun components, and the shop at at my visit some Sony ES pieces (not many), a Nakamichi Stasis-type receiver, and a Denon direct drive vinyl record player. I would say worth visiting now and then to see if they happen to have something of your interest. Note they also do repair! I saw they had for repair Burmester and some other worthy pieces.

I brought in an amplifier and two speakers for repair. I was promised to be called in 3-4 days but after more than 2 weeks of no sign from them I called myself. I was told to come in to the shop rather than being told an estimate of the repair costs. Eventually I went in, and not only nothing was repaired, but the items were barely even tested. 1) My amplifier was not fixed because they don't have the components. They said they need a module for my amp which they couldn't find. After I had the name of this module, I found it on the web immediately. 2) I left two speakers to be tested and repaired as one sounds poor. They didn't even bother unboxing them, and they didn't even remember what I wanted them to do with the speakers. Eventually they tested the speakers in front of me (after those 3 weeks). Dear Second Hai-Fi, if you are incapable to take on more work, say so and don't make me wait for nothing. If you are charging 30 euros for checkup at least have the common sense the actually check up the items and give feedback to your customers. If you are a repair shop, don't tell me to not buy used items but rather get on repairing them. Otherwise what is the point in saying you a
