Eating out in Germany runs from a quick Döner at an Imbiss to a long evening in a Gasthaus, and a listing like this one is best judged on freshness, turnover and how consistent the reviews are rather than on decor. Lunch menus (Mittagstisch) are usually the best value, menu prices already include 19% VAT and service, and many kitchens close between lunch and dinner. Bakeries open early and are the one shop you can count on for a Sunday morning.

Opening hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 11:30 am–3 pm. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is 0921 75868274. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. Its website is sangam-bayreuth.de, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.9 out of 5 on Google across 396 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded chinesisch, thai, vietnamesisch & indisch in Bayreuth.

Bayreuth is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around Bayreuth is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

Had a fantastic dining experience at Sangam. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were super friendly. I loved that they asked if I wanted my dish made in an authentic Indian style, which added a personal touch. The spice levels were just right too. Highly recommend!

As an Indian, I’m usually skeptical about eating Indian food in European restaurants—but this place completely changed my mind. The ambiance is spot on: elegant and understated, without over-the-top décor which feels authentic without being cliché. The mocktails were excellent, and the food was genuinely outstanding. Every dish had a perfect balance of spices and flavors—clearly made with a deep understanding of Indian cuisine. You can really taste the authenticity in each bite. What made the experience even better was the staff: incredibly friendly, attentive, and quick to accommodate any request. Overall, it’s a refreshing take on Indian dining abroad, and I’d highly recommend it.

The food was so freaking good. I tried the chicken Tandoori, with mango lemonade drink and I really enjoyed it. I highly recommend this place❤️

This Indian restaurant deserves its 5-star rating, impressively combining a stunning ambiance with delicious cuisine. The effort to create a fancy and inviting atmosphere is evident, enhancing the dining experience. The food stands out for its rich flavors and generous portions; despite appearances, the servings are quite filling, even for someone with a hearty appetite. Additionally, the pricing is commendably fair. For a meal including two main courses, an appetizer, and bottled water, the total came to 45€, which is reasonable. However, the cost of the water (6.5€ for a bottle that seemed overly extravagant) was the sole drawback. Next time, I might opt for a different drink. Overall, this restaurant excels in offering a memorable and satisfying dining experience, making it a must-visit for anyone craving quality Indian cuisine.
