Schöne Kirche mit Geschichte (Eppelmann).

Wir sind an diesem heißen Pfingstsonntag, müde vom Lärm des Karnevals der Kulturen, in die geöffnete Kirche zur kühlen, stillen und besinnlichen Einkehr in die Kirche eingetreten. Die Gemeinde hielt eine Runde mit Kaffee und Kuchen ab. Und nachdem wir uns eine Weile vor den Altar gesetzt, über das Pfingstfest unterhalten und dann die ausgeschilderten Toiletten mit unserer kleinen Tochter benutzt hatten, wollten wir gern Kuchen und Kaffee gegen eine Kirchenspende erwerben und im Gespräch vielleicht etwas mehr über die Kirche und ihre Mitglieder erfahren. Doch dazu kam es nicht. Mit unfreundlicher Miene und ebensolchen Worten verwies man uns darauf, dass wir eine (unausgeschilderte) Geschlossene Veranstaltung stören würden, und schließlich des Hauses. - Gott hat schon selten genug in (v.a. evangelischen) Kirchen Sprechstunde. Und ist die Tür wie hier mal offen, stößt man nicht unbedingt auf offene Christen. In guter Erinnerung bleibt nur das neogotische Äußere des Baues selbst, dessen Innereres wieder auf eine Erneuerung im echten solidarischen Geist der Samariter und Friedensblueser wartet...

Ein absoluter Ruhepol in einem quirligen Kiez- wer die Kirche betritt, den umfängt die Ruhe und Andacht des Raums. Das wunderschöne Glasmosaik in Ostausrichtung über dem Altar kann man endlos betrachten.
