Choosing a Kita, school or course means looking at the curriculum, group sizes, staff qualifications and the fee schedule, including what is not covered. Kita places are scarce in most cities, so register early, often before the child is born, through the municipal portal or directly with the Kita, and ask about the Kita-Gutschein or fee subsidy where your city offers one. Primary schools (Grundschulen) enrol by catchment area, while the choice between Gymnasium, Realschule and Gesamtschule comes after year four.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in München, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

0/5… An accommodation from hell (oh the irony) with untidy rooms, extremely creaky beds, damaged furniture, and nasty, smelly bathrooms with no space to put your toiletries. The receptionist was quite unfriendly, you almost felt like you had to apologize for causing inconvenience simply by asking for the wifi password. Breakfast was okay, but the timing was extremely restrictive. Punctually at 9:00, we were thrown out of the dining room. Not my first time staying in that kind of accommodation, but it inspired me never to set foot inside a youth hostel ever again. I’m not yet ready to adapt to an ascetic, self-flagellating lifestyle. Or ever.

I stayed there during 1 month when I studied abroad. It was perfect. Simple and organized, very clean, private spaces, quiet and there is a lot of space.

I have never left a place this fast!! The facility is located in a part of Munich where there are lots of non-german folks. 5 minutes!! after arriving we got approached by some of these aforementioned people to ask for a lighter. After claiming our rooms we found bed bugs in several rooms, the corners of rooms were full of trash. The overall state and hygiene of the facility was terrible. The walls were dirty and the paint was falling of, the doors were cracked and crooked from being kicked in several times in the past, even the door FRAMES were out of place. The toilets and showers were located in the corridors with no separation for genders. We imediatelly left for the reception and asked for a full refund. The most shocking thing is that it was almost 40 euros for one night. I seriously think place is a serious health hazard, cannot reccomend.

With 3 of my colleagues we went to the IFAT Fair, and stayed at the Salesianum. The staff were very helpful, and as we arrived way too early for check in, they let us to leave our bagages at a secure place. The rooms are clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable. Bathroom has a very good shower in it. The choice of the buffey breakfast was plenty. My favourite was the outdoor sitting area where you can consume your meal in a very nice garden setting. Quiet place close to the town centre. Would stay here again with no hesitation. Highly recommended.

We were here for 3 days. First of all, I have to say that we were positively surprised when we walked in our rooms because of the rewiews that we read here on the Google. Rooms are super clean, also the toilets. Each one of us had its own room and toilet. Towels, sheets and everything else was clean and nice. Also, the staff was friendly, helpfull and always available. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner here and I have to say that food is also great, beyond the expectations because you always have more options. In conclusion, great service for the great price and location (2 stations with SBahn to the main square). We will come back!❤️
