Von der Burg ist nichts mehr übrig und der Rest ist in Privatbesitz. Dafür gibt's eine wunderschöne Kunstwand mit Malereien etc. und einen gigantischen Ausblick. Eine Bank wäre schön gewesen 😉

Um 1228 urkundlich als Burg der Schenken von Flügelsberg erstmals erwähnt. Bereits 1290 im Zwist zwischen den beiden bayerischen Herzögen schwer beschädigt. Um 1340 schenkt die Witwe von Dietrich II ihrer Tochter ein Drittel der Burg. Diese ist vermählt mit Konrad dem Muracher. Später gelangen die Muracher in den Vollbesitz der Burg. Da sie sich als Raubtitter betätigen zerstören 1446 die Nürnberger die Burg. Durch Erbschaft gelangte sie dann in den Besitz des Hans von Parsberg. Dieser schließt sich den Adligen im Löwlerkrieg gegen Albrecht IV von Bayern an. Und so erobert der Herzog 1492 die Burg, räumt sie aus und brennt sie ab. Doch er gestattet den Neubau. So entsteht auf dem leeren Plateau Platz für ein Schloss. Die Parsberger verlegen ihren Sitz jedoch ins Tal, in den Ort Meihern und errichten dort im Meier-Hof ihr neues Schloss Meier und nannten sich Herren von Meyern. Das Schloss ist heute verschwunden. Wieso sie ein Schloss neben der Burgruine und noch eins im Tal errichteten, konnte ich nicht ermitteln. Die Infos sind von Wikipedia und aus "Bayerns Hertstück". Toller Ort mit super Aussicht. Lustiger Weg dorthin mit Bildern auf Solnhofer Marmor an einer Grundstücksmauer entlang.
