For a place to eat or drink in Germany, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open today (many restaurants keep a weekly Ruhetag), does it take reservations for dinner, and does the menu suit your group. Tipping is modest, rounding up or adding 5-10% when you pay, and while cards are accepted in most places, cash is still the safe choice at bakeries, Imbiss stands and beer gardens. Tap water is not served automatically, and bottles you take away carry a Pfand deposit.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 2,404 reviews, which is a strong result for an italienisch in Erlangen and suggests consistent service.

Erlangen is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in Erlangen, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

Pizza tasted very very good and menu selection/vatiety was awesome. The waiters were super kind and had spoke Italian, which I like as it shows originality. They were able to accommodate any extra wishes, substitutions or additions. The pizza is ver thin, baked to perfection and flavorful seasoned. The atmosphere is okay, I’d say. It’s a quite modern Italian spot with a lot of seating. One thing I’d like to point out are the dead flies or bugs in the lamps over the table which have not been cleaned out. It’s not bothering but something I’d improve personally as an owner to make it seem cleaner. Overall great

Nice pizza restaurant I took the quattro fromaggi and it was delicious, the waiters are kind and helpful And dessert I recommend the tiramisu, both of them are delicious and the portion is quite big Nice discovery

Had a really pleasant experience here. Definitely must visit when you’re in Erlangen! Vibes were chill, place was busy but the staff were still attentive. It was a lovely day and the waiters were very helpful in accommodating our request to move from indoor to outdoor seating. Next up, the pizza! Really love the pizza base itself and you cannot go wrong with any flavour. Just order anything. Or everything. 😜 It’s a very thin pizza so everyone ordered 1 pizza. Still I think if you are not such a big eater, 2 pizza for 3 people is sufficient. Next, the tiramisu! Read from google reviews that it’s one of the best. But it’s actually just so la la. Can skip. 🤪

I already had several different pizzas from several different places in my life (not joking) and I can easily say that Costa and his team prepares one of the best pizzas I ever had in my life. The authentic Italian pizza! Honestly I cannot recommend them enough in one single review but you will fall in love for this place in your first visit: the team is absolutely fantastic, you will feel welcomed from the very beginning, cozy atmosphere, extremely fair prices and only the best ingredients makes this place one of the best pizzas not only in Germany but in the entire world! Make sure you book it in advance specially during the weekends where they are super busy! Recommendation: their tartufo pizza is out of this world. Extremely recommended.

Update (2024): New location…same great pizza! Beautiful decor, awesome staff, fantastic pizza. Make sure you reserve ahead of time!! Original review (2022): Cozy atmosphere, fresh pizza, nice staff. They were very accommodating and found me a spot even though they were super busy. They don’t have an English menu, but they’re willing to explain. Very generous with the toppings, but unfortunately I ordered the Spilinghina Pizza which is a “white” pizza (no sauce). The menu didn’t specify it didn’t come with tomato sauce. The gentleman at the cash told me they’ll make the change to the menu for the future. I’ll try them again to taste the sauce cause it looked amazing. Everything else was fresh and tasty.
