Very disappointing experience at REWE Ingolstadt. I bought a bottle of Vitamin Water that was priced at €1.20, but I was charged €9.24. I didn't notice because I was in a hurry. The next day, after checking my bank account and receipt, I returned to the store and explained the situation. Instead of trying to help, the manager asked me to bring the bottle, which I no longer had, and showed no understanding or willingness to resolve the issue. Please always check your receipt before leaving the store—I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.

It is near by bus stop and easy to reach out. You can get all type of groceries here.

Update May 2026: Great place for small but very pretty and reasonably priced flowers! Update Sep 2022: Ok, so no fresh food counter and hardly any prepared warm food... that's still a bit of a downer. But I'm upgrading my review to 4 stars again because general supply/stock challenges and gaps are ubiquitous at present due to geopolitical and pendemic related supply chain constraints, and one cannot hold that against this particular branch. Staff is still top, shop is clean and tidy, and the recently added DHL pack station is quite convenient.

Ambiguous. In the cafeteria department, when I purchasing tea (it was approximately 1 month and a week ago), the person (seller) with the hand with which he takes the money, opened the package of tea (usually this is provided to the buyer based on the sanitary and hygienic standards) and with the same hand she put a packet of tea in a glass and it became unpleasant for me during the quarantine measures regarding Covid 19. I explained to her that this format is unacceptable and is not accepted at all (she spoke Russian), she immediately deceived that this is such a standard and is necessary in connection with the norms of Covid 19, - `` take money from everyone with the same hand take food '' and then added that tea with boiling water.

Review update Aug 2021/Jan 2022: Alas... no more fresh food counter. Selection of fresh deli, cheese and warm/prepared food is severely limited now e.g. 'Leberkäs-Semmel' is only available in the mornings. For fresh meat, you get to choose from own-brand/no-name (Haltungsform 2) or maybe a few pieces of highpriced Bio meat in the self serve section. Luckily staff is still friendly and competent. But for a weekly shop, this Rewe branch is not that great anymore, unfortunately. Review 2020 / old: Good: Finally offers a hygiene station, yay. Employees are polite, knowledgeable and helpful. Clean, tidy and well sorted store. Could be improved: Features no Rewe Service Point at the moment. Inherent challenge due to city location and space limitations: Keeping 1.5m distance from one another in the cashier's area is sometimes a bit of a challenge, especially if it takes you a few minutes to put a large weekly shop away.
