A nice and calm place next to the river.

Whether it be Summer, Spring, Winter or Fall, this little Sonnenglück next to the Wertach, is without a doubt one of our favorite places in Augsburg. Good Bavarian beer and Wine Spritzes has quenched our thirst during many warm spells while Jagertee has mended a few colds during the cooler months. Additionally, there is an assortment of good food on the menu. The staff is friendly and attentive. Last, but not least, the Wertach is incredibly peaceful. Grab a drink and find yourself a comfortable flat stone next to the river and bask in the natural surroundings.

Located approximately in the middle between Göggingen and Pfersee, it is ideal location to take a break and grab a cold one on your evening walk. Surrounded by streams on both sides, plenty of shade and huge grassy area on the side, it truly is a lovely place. Honestly, toilets look a bit too old but I will look past that.

The name of this (a little bit shabby) beer garden - Sonnenglück / sunny luck - suggests you can enjoy the sun here big time, though the big trees around the place cover everything in shade after mid-afternoon. Still, a nice place to have a quick beer. The kitchen closes pretty early, so make sure to arrive before 8 PM if you want to eat something.
