This is the second time I went back to eat as a tourist. I remembered the first time I ate 2 years ago, some food was salty for my taste though delicious. This time, I ordered 回锅肉 and 白木耳 but requested them to put less salt. This time, the flavour with less salt was heavenly and enhanced the true fragrance of the chilli oil for 回锅肉. 黑木耳 was also very delicious with the right blending of vinegar, soya sauce and what else. Truly a delightful and delicious meal with great service from the waitress! I will come back again to eat the next time.

The waitress had an absolutely terrible attitude. The meat here isn’t bled properly, so it tastes really gamey. The stir-fried beef with scallions didn’t have any ginger at all, making it rank. I asked her to recook it with some ginger to get rid of the fishy flavour, and she just snapped that no one else had a problem with it. It was ridiculous. She was practically fawning over the foreign customers though. The spicy beef tripe salad and shredded potatoes were decent enough; anything tastes good with chilli oil poured on top. Think twice before ordering meat dishes at this place. They’re far too stingy with seasonings and aromatics. Overall, eating here just left me frustrated.

I’ve ordered duck tongues and braised fish. All in all it was decent and nice. I liked the duck tongues but sauce on the fish was really an overkill, it was really sugary and fish had a slightly weird aftertaste. It might have been an unfortunate choice of dishes

This place is truly solid. There’s really nothing to complain about when it comes to the food, everything is consistently delicious. I’d definitely come back next time I’m in Cologne.

You know it's authentic when they warn you about half the dishes! Once again, surprised in the best way. Duck tongues need to go somewhere - in my tummy is a good place.
