The toilets are 1.50 euros at this station. Most trains don’t have toilets or they are defective! The old Averio train from here to Stuttgart is awful, very small and cramped. Why are they using this train for a 2.5 hour journey?!

My wife and I are catching a train to München. This is our first experience traveling by rail in Europe. I'm told that this is a small train station but I haven't been disappointed. We're traveling with backpacks and a couple of large suitcases so was very happy that they have large elevators to get between the main lobby and the track. Also lots of food and drink choices. Also plenty of places to sit inside and outside.

I experienced extraordinarily rude staff.

We recently visited as a day trip from Munich, arriving and departing from Regensburg Hbf, which is a few minutes walk south of the historic city centre. We found ticketing machines on the ground floor and upstairs waiting area, there were a few food shops available, trains arrived and departed without issues. Overall, this is a small but sufficient station for the historic city of Regensburg.
