About Puro - Regensburg

Puro Bar & Ristorante

Located at Maximilianstraße 28, 93047 Regensburg, Puro - Regensburg operates as an italienisch serving Regensburg in Bayern. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

For a place to eat or drink in Germany, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open today (many restaurants keep a weekly Ruhetag), does it take reservations for dinner, and does the menu suit your group. Tipping is modest, rounding up or adding 5-10% when you pay, and while cards are accepted in most places, cash is still the safe choice at bakeries, Imbiss stands and beer gardens. Tap water is not served automatically, and bottles you take away carry a Pfand deposit.

Opening hours are published for 6 days a week. Typical hours are 11:30 am–2 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is 0941 94670568. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. More information is available on its website, puro-regensburg.com.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from 73 reviews, which is a strong result for an italienisch in Regensburg and suggests consistent service.

Regensburg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around Regensburg is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

It’s a small but cozy place inside and the food was great.

The rigatoni with salmon was delicious, and so was the pizza! Very friendly service in a quaint dining area. Not a lot of seating inside, but plenty of outdoor seating when the weather is nice. Recommend parking in one of the nearby garages.

Had a lovely early dinner in the shade of the restaurant, facing the hotel forecourt and fountain. Relatively quiet and peaceful given the busy road just nearby. Service was great, very attentive. Food was delicious, hot and fresh. We had a few drinks and coffee as well. Pizza was quite large, I was unable to finish mine. The only downside, through no fault of the restaurant, was the couple who came and sat at the closest table to us, and had 2 cigarettes in under 10 minutes. This is a disgusting situation we encountered throughout Germany. The only people able to enjoy eating outdoors are the smokers. About time this was changed, as in many other countries. Regardless, highly recommend the restaurant and would definitely return if in Regensburg again. Thank you!

The food, according to my taste, seems average, not particularly outstanding but not bad either. The prices are reasonable, and the service is friendly, although not very attentive to customers.
