For a place to eat or drink in Germany, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open today (many restaurants keep a weekly Ruhetag), does it take reservations for dinner, and does the menu suit your group. Tipping is modest, rounding up or adding 5-10% when you pay, and while cards are accepted in most places, cash is still the safe choice at bakeries, Imbiss stands and beer gardens. Tap water is not served automatically, and bottles you take away carry a Pfand deposit.
Opening hours are published for 6 days a week. Typical hours are 11 am–10 pm. It is closed on Monday. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is 089 88949063. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. Its website is prinzregent-garten.de, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Its Google rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 830 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect before you commit to a visit.
München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in München, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

Just had an incredibly awful experience at this establishment. My husband and I brought some food to eat with drinks we were purchasing in the restaurant, in the Biergarten, but whilst we were informed the Biergarten was not open at this time, we asked if it's still okay for us to eat there and bring our drinks outside. The very kind bartender said we can eat our own Brotzeit, and when my husband then went to grab some cutlery from one of the inside tables, the owners of the establishment who were sitting at a nearby table extremely rudely shouted across at him that he cannot take that, that there is different cutlery for inside and outside, and that he should have asked first before taking the knife. To note: there were two customers in the entire inside restaurant, and nobody else outside - so no lack of cutlery. However, the owner then went into the kitchen, in a huff, saying she would get some. She never returned as we waited with our drinks, so we went outside. We felt sorry for the bartender who was only trying to help, but this kind of behaviour from people running a business in hospitality is completely unacceptable. They should feel ashamed for how they made us feel, when

A restaurant with a Biergarten. We were in the restaurant and there are tables for sitting outside, it was very nice. The service was nice and the food is ok. They served a few Croatian food and also some German dishes. A nice place for dining outside on a summer evening.

Food is okay. Service is not so friendly, but again okay. Place looks nice with the garden and everything but there is nothing special about it. There are other Bavarian places in Pasing you can easily choose over Prinzregent.

Great Beergarden, also really cosy atmosphere. Great service with kind people working there. Has a tiny playground for kids. Is also a child friendly environment. Food was great, but sadly only vegetarian food options. Only vegan option was French fries. But the stay was so great, that I didn't mind that fact at the end of the day. And one can bring their own food as well!
