For public services in Bayern, confirm which office handles your matter and what to bring before you travel, since the Bürgeramt, the Ausländerbehörde and the Finanzamt deal with different paperwork. Stations and airports post timetables on site and in the DB Navigator app, and it is wise to allow extra time at the start of the school holidays and around Christmas, when the whole country is on the move.

Opening hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is Open 24 hours. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Poststation 701 on 0228 4333112; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions, and many businesses also take enquiries and bookings by e-mail or WhatsApp. Its website is deutschepost.de, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Google shows 1.0 out of 5 based on 2 reviews. With so few reviews the score can move quickly; it will become more reliable as more customers leave feedback.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around München is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.
