Poststation 701 is a postfilialen in Bamberg, Bayern. It is listed at Starkenfeldstraße 21, 96050 Bamberg, which places it among the local businesses of Bamberg that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as versanddienstleister, versanddienst, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Public offices, transport hubs and places of worship follow their own schedules: town halls and Bürgerämter open on weekdays, often only in the morning on some days, and most now require an appointment booked online. Bring your passport or ID card and the completed form for almost any procedure; residence permits are handled by the Ausländerbehörde and taxes by the Finanzamt. Deutsche Post counters and DHL Packstations handle letters and parcels.

Opening hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are Open 24 hours. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is 0228 4333112. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. More information is available on its website, deutschepost.de.

No Google reviews have been recorded for it so far, so a first-hand recommendation or a quick phone call is your best guide until customers start leaving feedback. Many small businesses here rely on word of mouth rather than online reviews.

Bamberg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around Bamberg is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.
