I had a friend recommend Pomodorino to me, and it was fine. He wasn’t hyping it up like crazy or anything, and that makes sense, because this is a solid, standard pizza place. Nothing more, nothing less. The thing with pizza, which I always say, is that pizza lives and dies by the dough. Anyone can go out and buy cheese. Anyone can buy toppings or make something nice with toppings. That’s not really the hard part. The dough is what separates good pizza places from great ones. If you want to stand out, you have to know what kind of pizza you are. Are you Neapolitan? Are you Roman? Are you New York style? Are you thin and crispy? What is your identity? At Pomodorino, it feels like they’re going for something close to Neapolitan style, but they don’t quite get there. And that’s okay, because Neapolitan pizza is not something everyone can just do. It requires a very specific dough, technique, and oven. This place doesn’t have that. They’re using an electric oven, not a wood-fired or stone oven, and you can tell. That said, the pizza was still delicious. The dough was a bit doughy, slightly cakey, but still good. It was a solid pizza and, once again, it definitely cured my hangover.

When you're craving some authentic "pizza al taglio" (slices) around East Berlin, this is the right place. All available options are delicious, but I didn't like their round pizza at all - I've noticed they have frozen ones, they add toppings and then warm them up. Unfortunately, service is really bad. I've ended up arguing more than once with members of the staff who treat customers with too much familiarity, and that's quite annoying. Cash only

Wow!!! Got the best pizza in under 3 min. Hot and delicious with real ingredients! Very cheap!!! 3,50 a huge slice. It tastes wonderfully without trying too hard to be something. Long opening hours are great as well, perfect for a quick bite or even date with wine

Never forget to bring a cash with you, the don’t accept card payments. Last time more than a year I was here. Still same delicious pizza, but this time I couldn’t find any oil on the tables. But in general I recommend here.

Simple sliced up pizzas at affordable prices for a quick dinner night. Good vegetarian options available, although some could be quite bland and bready for one's liking. Tiramisu was served from their restaurant next-door but was super yummy and definitely going back for it! Ambience: Very loud, could be cosier. Super friendly staff Payment: cash only
