For a place to eat or drink in Germany, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open today (many restaurants keep a weekly Ruhetag), does it take reservations for dinner, and does the menu suit your group. Tipping is modest, rounding up or adding 5-10% when you pay, and while cards are accepted in most places, cash is still the safe choice at bakeries, Imbiss stands and beer gardens. Tap water is not served automatically, and bottles you take away carry a Pfand deposit.
Opening hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 5–10:30 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is 030 39726708. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. More information is available on its website, trattoria-luna.de.
Customers rate it 4.3 out of 5 on Google across 861 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded italienisch & pizza in Berlin.
Berlin is in the state of Berlin, the capital and largest city of Germany; summers are warm, winters grey and cold with occasional snow, and the dense U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus network puts most businesses within a few minutes' walk of a stop. For directions in Berlin, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

Very authentic Italian food in Berlin. It's s family business, which gives an extra welcoming atmosphere. Usually, on Saturdays you can easily find a table.

Unfortunately, I had a rather negative experience when picking up an order from this restaurant. I ordered a pizza via Wolt for pickup. While waiting, I wanted to buy a dessert and pay in cash. I was told that the price of the tiramisu was €8.10, while the same item was listed for €7.20 on Wolt. I asked the employee about the price difference and mentioned that I could order it through Wolt instead. The staff then called the owner to clarify the issue. He spoke in a patronising manner and told me that if I ordered the tiramisu through Wolt, the portion would be smaller than if I bought it directly in the restaurant. I find it problematic and unprofessional that the same item appears to differ in size or quality depending on whether it is ordered via Wolt or in person, and that this information was communicated to a customer at all in this context. After that, I was told that I was being disrespectful to his business for ordering through Wolt, with repeated references to utility and labor costs. This felt unnecessary and unprofessional. Clear pricing and respectful communication are key to a successful business. Unfortunately, this was not my experience here.

I don’t think there are many authentic Italian restaurants in Berlin, but this is definitely one of them! It has a charming Italian flair, delicious food, and amazing atmosphere. For me, this is the only place for pizza!

An authentic taste of Rome. With Roman prices! The food was great and reminded me of my trips to Italy. I loved the Radner beer with a twist of lime. The server was nice and knew enough English to accommodate us non-German and non-italian speakers. Would definitely recommend especially if you have some time to kill waiting for your train or bus at Südkreuz station. Also, can't beat the prices.

One of the best Italian meals I've ever had, everything was fresh, big portions, and tasted incredible. Had bruschetta classica to start, and spaghetti aglio, olio, e peperoncino for main, both amazing. Tiramisu was a real highlight!
