About Peschl-Terrasse
Located at Roßtränke 4, 94032 Passau-Altstadt, Peschl-Terrasse operates as a deutsche serving Passau in Bayern. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Eating out in Germany runs from a quick Döner at an Imbiss to a long evening in a Gasthaus, and a listing like this one is best judged on freshness, turnover and how consistent the reviews are rather than on decor. Lunch menus (Mittagstisch) are usually the best value, menu prices already include 19% VAT and service, and many kitchens close between lunch and dinner. Bakeries open early and are the one shop you can count on for a Sunday morning.
Opening hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 am–10 pm. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is 0851 2489. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. Its website is peschl-terrasse-passau.de, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Customers rate it 4.3 out of 5 on Google across 978 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded deutsche & regionale küche in Passau.
Passau is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in Passau, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

I hate this terrace place because of the lazy waitress who is not caring of her job at all. She did not bring the menu ten mins. We ordered our beers. She did not service them also in 20 mins. We needed to go out immediately. We needed the receipt. She said “Ich müss” only, then did not bring the receipt more than ten minutes. Crazy… Only bad experience. And also this perfect lady (!) just demanded tip from us after all even though I said only take the exact amount of the receipt. She has taken the money and did not give the money until I said okay you can take the bla bla. I’ve been many places in PASSAU but this place is really very lower than the average.

Despite some negative reviews, I have nothing to complain. Service was fast and friendly. Their portions are huge and the food is delicious. Bavarian Cordon Bleu was a blast and quite filling. On top of that their prices are very affordable given their portion sizes and quality of food! Highly recommend!
