For anything on wheels, from a tyre change to a new vehicle, the basics apply: confirm the price up front, ask about the warranty on parts and labour, and get a receipt. Third-party insurance is compulsory, and the dealer will usually arrange the registration (Zulassung) and number plates for you. Busy periods are the tyre-change weeks in spring and autumn and the days before the summer holidays, and breakdown cover through ADAC or your insurer is worth having.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in München, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

Worst parking experience. Dirty, smells bad. The door on -1 in not functioning. Payment only by cash.

Terrible parking. Daily rate turned out to be 30 euros instead of 20! It's filthg smelling piss. Too narrow. You can only pay with cash. The door didn't read the ticket so toy have to wait for someone to go out.

Bad experience. The access to the lower floor is a single, narrow lane for both directions. The risk of scratching the car is high. No card, only cash, no change. The smell can be intense.

Very bad experience. Cash Only. No change. No receipt. Pidgeons do their thing everywhere on your car.

Avoid this parking space at all cost. The payment machine stopped working after I fed it 30€, then wanted me to repay the original price again! After trying to contact technical support, nobody picked up and I ended up having to pay the full price of 50€ for 1.5 days of parking again… Also, the garage is extremely narrow and I scratched the side of my car. Definitely not worth it
