The place is closed, and they didn't think it necessary to post this info anywhere. We were there yesterday (Jul 18, 2026), and the place looks permanently closed, there is not even a sign with opening hours or anything, and the inside (what we could see through the window) looked abandoned with Papa Johns banner just lying on the floor in the middle of the restaurant. It took us 1 hour to get there from the other end of the city, and it is just unacceptable to have people waste their time like that.

As an American who grew up eating Papa John’s pizza, I had high expectations when I drove two hours from my home to visit family in Munich. I was excited to finally try their pizza, but I was disappointed. It was the worst pizza I’ve ever had in Germany.

I missed the Papa John’s from the US and to my surprise, one opened up here. There’s tons more variety than the US version. I tried the Super Papa which is the equivalent to the supreme/combination in the US. It did not disappoint and even tasted better than back home. The service was also top tier. The staff shared details on the promotions and recommendations. I highly recommend this place!

Super nice and thick American Pizza place. There is “That” pizza place smell when you go in. The prices are also pretty reasonable especially for the bigger sizes. The “half & half” orders can have you order 2 different pizzas as one order so you can try different tastes. So far it has taken the #1 American pizza spot in Munich from Pizza Hut for me. :)
