About Olympiaalm
Located at Martin-Luther-King-Weg 8, 80809 München, Olympiaalm operates as a biergärten serving München in Bayern. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
For a place to eat or drink in Germany, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open today (many restaurants keep a weekly Ruhetag), does it take reservations for dinner, and does the menu suit your group. Tipping is modest, rounding up or adding 5-10% when you pay, and while cards are accepted in most places, cash is still the safe choice at bakeries, Imbiss stands and beer gardens. Tap water is not served automatically, and bottles you take away carry a Pfand deposit.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 10 am–9 pm. As with most places, expect changes around public holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is 089 3009924. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. More information is available on its website, olympiaalm.de.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 1,732 reviews, which is a strong result for a biergärten in München and suggests consistent service.
München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around München is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

Details on this page come from public sources and may change; confirm anything important by phone before relying on it. Business owners can claim the listing to keep it up to date.

Great place to grab a beer and meet some friends. Have a great view of the sunset as the evening draws near.

At first, I was hesitant to try this restaurant, but I’m very glad I did. The food was excellent, and the French fries were especially fresh and delicious. The staff were polite, somewhat reserved and not particularly expressive or proactive in assisting customers. Overall, the quality of the food is good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and would happily come back again.

Absolutely terrible, unhelpful, impolite staff. I felt like I was not paying them, they were paying me. Asked for a napkin, and was rudely told to go get one from the bathroom. I guess basic decency is too much to ask for. The food was decent and the atmosphere and location is actually nice, but I cannot in good conscience give anything more than one star or recommend this place to anyone. Make the world a better place by not giving a cent to this argumentative bunch.

Great beer garden in a cool location.

Very expensive for such small portions. We ordered the schnitzel, but it wasn't salty enough and was a bit cold. Our pork steak wasn't cooked enough to be safely eaten. The only nice thing about this place is the beer.
