Berlin is in the state of Berlin, the capital and largest city of Germany; summers are warm, winters grey and cold with occasional snow, and the dense U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus network puts most businesses within a few minutes' walk of a stop. Getting around Berlin is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Berlin and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

I attended a two-day Surya Kriya course with Dhanya a few months ago. I had been struggling with back pain and tightness for several years, but through this yoga practice, I was able to identify specific areas of tension that were contributing to my discomfort. Since completing the course and practicing almost daily, my back pain has significantly improved. While the course was somewhat challenging, Dhanya provided thoughtful and attentive guidance throughout the entire process. I also appreciated that she continued to check in with me after the course to monitor my progress. I highly recommend this course to anyone looking to establish a daily yoga practice.

I’ve recently returned from the 7 day Isha Hatha Yoga Summer retreat in Poland. The location was idyllic, beautiful and peaceful. I’ve previously taken the Surya Kriya and Yogasanas workshops with Dhanja at her Berlin studio. This retreat was physically challenging , very helpful and amazingly well organized, as I expected. Dhanja is a very knowledgeable, fun, precise and patient teacher. I was able to concentrate on my Yoga practice in a deeper way. I felt very supported. I learned a lot of new things to add to my practice routine. The retreat was a well rounded, holistic experience. It was intensive yoga, delicious vegan food that we ate with our hands, in silence. That was a first! And I loved it. It was great being around like minded yoga practitioners from all around the world. I felt a deep appreciation for all of the above as well as the beautiful natural surroundings. It’s as close as one can get to an Ashram experience without going to the ashram. I highly recommend it and feel a deep gratitude for being able to experience such a special retreat.

I've known Dhanya for a few years now, and it has always been a wonderful experience to visit her studio and learn yogic practices from her. Recently, I had the chance to learn Surya Kriya from her, and the experience was truly serene. The course was well-planned and delivered with precision. The ambiance was perfect, with beautiful indoor plants and thoughtfully arranged decorations. I highly recommend Dhanya and her studio for anyone interested in yoga.

I travelled to this yoga community in Berlin all the way from Singapore. i never felt left out and unwanted here. I had an awesome time at the yoga retreat and I walked away with a profound life changing experience. I can’t wait to be permanently part of this Isha Yoga community in Berlin. 🙏🏾 🧘🏾‍♂️

I came away a better, more at ease person after the winter yoga retreat Jan 2022. Dhanya/Jessica has such a gentle manner and calming manner. Nothing flusters her. It was so reassuring to have on hand guidance during and after Sadhana. Every detail had been thought through to deliver a wondrous experience for participants. There was a real feeling of family. Food was amazing. So much laughter and fun, yet some of the most truly profound moments of my life so far. Instructions were very clear for each of the programs I took and they were delivered so gently and with such warmth. I am looking forward to being able to take another retreat.
