The best Turkish food everybody knows who lived in Köln is from the “Schäl Sick” (wrong side, right side of the river Rhine) in Kalk. Nimet is a long standing giant in the Turkish food business and has it all! Try the grill platter and yes the grilled liver is wonderful, hamsi (fried anchovies) or just the daily changing and freshly cooked dishes or simply doner kabab. If you are then not stuffed, try the freshly baked break and baklava next door which is a must, especially the halka (fried, crispy dough rings in syrup)!

A very good restaurant! It’s small, simple, yet always busy. It’s a half buffet, half grill type of restaurant that offers minimal waiting time. I ate rice with meat stew from the buffet and it was delicious! The prices are very good and reasonable as well, and we received satisfactory service from the staff . Would recommend you to eat it at anytime whenever you’re feeling hungry.

The bread of the sandwich was awesome —fresh and delectable. I chose the beef Döner sandwich, which came with an array of sauces such as yogurt and ketchup. The sandwich was too salty for my taste. The portions were big, providing good value given the price. The restaurant's cleanliness could be better, likely affected by its popularity, yet it still stands out among other venues on the street. The staff were nice.

Some of the very best Durum i have eaten in Cologne. You know it‘s a must come when you are the only foreigner out of the whole restaurant filled with this Turkish community! Vibe is great here! Really suggest to sit down and eat there.

I was at the bakery. The round bread was good. The baklava was bellow average because it had a very small amount of nuts and was mostly extremely sweet layered pastry.
