Very clean and new looking, with many options to choose from. Everything is in German, but staff is happy to translate. I learned that the steam room is what they call their Laconium. Just what I wanted. No whirlpool, but a number of warm baths.

During my current Cologne trip, I visited Neptunbad twice in just 5 days. I had actually been here once before during my previous Cologne visit years ago, and it always stayed in my memory as one of the most special places in the city. As a professional massage therapist, I am very sensitive to wellness and relaxation experiences, and I can honestly say this place is truly special. It is an amazing place to escape from daily stress and completely relax your mind and body. The atmosphere feels like a small paradise and you honestly don’t want to leave. The sauna and Aufguss sessions were absolutely wonderful. Each session felt unique with different aromas, relaxing rituals and a beautiful calming atmosphere. The staff were extremely kind, professional and welcoming throughout the whole experience. Neptunbad is truly one of the most special places in Cologne for me, and I will definitely come back again on my next visit.

Beautiful Asian-inspired spa with several saunas, a lovely pool area and baths. Worth checking out the old style area too. Best to visit in the evening for the ambience of the outdoor Zen garden.

This spa is not tourist-friendly at all. There’s no English signage, so if you don’t speak German, it’s difficult to find your way around. The ceremony timetable is only available downstairs and really should be digitized in this day and age. Also, the entire spa is nudist, even in the pool, and there are no jacuzzis or massage jets. On the positive side, the ambience is nice and calming. However, the ceremonies were overcrowded, which made it hard to enjoy. The towel we paid for was very small for the price, the cleanliness was poor, and there was no soap in the showers. Overall, we didn’t enjoy our visit.

We spent a wonderfully relaxing evening. The variety of saunas and pools available both inside and out is truly impressive, offering something for every preference and making the experience feel special. It's the perfect place to recharge. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a serene spa day.
