About Museum des Ersten Weltkriegs (Bayerisches Armeemuseum)

Ingolstadt is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Very good WW1 museum. Every theatre of the war was shown and the exhibits looked cool. I really liked the helmet exhibition, where you could try on a Stahlhelm. Worth a visit.

Wonderful museum that covers WWI and the years after (but before WWII). Google limits me.to 50 pics but I took three times that. Plan at least 2 hours here to see it. Beautiful grounds around the museum to walk through and relax as well. Buy the combination ticket to see the other local museums for cheaper. Do not miss this place when Ingolstadt!

impressive museum, and i found it the best between the 3 museum of this complex. entrance 1€ on Sunday and you will spend easily 2.5 hrs here. the Roundtour is easy, you just have to keep going through doors. you will live here the real experience of ww1 through ground/air/marine weapons, trenches and soldiers' daily life. very recommended for history lovers.

I loved it. They really managed to make the atmosphere. The downside is that everything is in German, so if you do not speak it, you are doomed to not understand a thing. However, the items speak for themselves. I can't say that there is no parking near it, although I did not see it but you can try going with a car because there is a hotel near the place (10 min) so theoretically you can park there. It is good to know that it is full of electric scooters that you can rent.

Big and well equiped museum. I had a good time, however I was driven away by a tourist guide (23.04.2022 around 13h) who was guiding another group at the same time I arrived at the museum. She was polite, but still it felt unpleasant, hence the three stars.
