Salons, spas and fitness studios in Germany are best booked ahead, especially for evenings and Saturdays, and most now take bookings online or through WhatsApp as well as by phone. Gyms usually ask for a 12- or 24-month contract, with the monthly rate falling the longer you sign up for, so read the cancellation clause.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in München, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

It's a lovely fitness studio with plenty of equipment but as customers, there's an issue to be aware of. I was swindled out of 735 euros by a fitness trainer who worked at McFit in Laim. The police are now involved but the fitness studio has not compensated me for my loss. The crime took place on location at McFit, Laim. I have written to the manager and have not received a reply after two weeks. This fitness trainer was advertised at the reception and on the display monitors. He was a freelancer but he was promoted and therefore endorsed by McFit. Be careful!

My only real complaint is the air quality. It's very hard to breathe and there is zero air flow/ventilation throughout the building. It has a big impact on my performance on some days. There are ac units on the ceiling but you dont feel any kind of airflow coming out from them. Yeah it's very busy in the evening but that's to be expected for a cheaper gym. I like that they only allow a max amount of people inside. If it's full you have to wait in line outside until other people leave. Waiting time never more than 10 min. This is way better than having the gym too overcrowded. Machines are good and price is good. Overall not a bad gym but please do something about the air quality

Scammy, old/cheap equipment, full (somehow) of people Will lure you in with 14 day trials, but will lock you in a fixed contract for one year, just for activating your card, even though the latter clause is not written in the contract you sign Will also not answer your emails timely (I have been waiting since one week for an answer, and if this continue will likely sue them) There are far better gyms for the same price range Edit: moved from 1 to 2 stars, I got eventually refunded after the case was reconsidered. Still not recommending

Unemployed people's favorite gym. Otherwise I can't explain why there's no time during the day this gym would be half or less empty. It's always crowded half or more regardless whether you're coming in the morning, during the noon or midday, and God forbid you come at peak hours from 16:00 till 20:00. Amazing facilities, amenities, outstanding equipment. The only downside is too many people at this specific branch. In conclusion, 3 out of 5. P.s I'm unemployed too, I couldn't find the window when the gym would be empty, except late night

It is a really crowded gym and the ventilation is so bad. It was really hard to breathe, hot and I had to wait avg 10 mins to do what I want. Changing room and water dispenser was nice. The studio in Giesing is 3x better than this
