München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in München, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

We bought the cuckoo cuckoo clock from here. The young salesman was very helpful and explained well through difference between mechanical vs battery ones. Considering a tourist spot its not cleap but I liked the shop.

Even if you don’t purchase anything (and that will be hard), you need to see this place. So many coo-coo clocks around the walls and every space filled. I had a very good saleswoman explain the differences between the traditional analog coo-coo clocks and the modern electronic ones that use batteries and don’t need winding. Ended up getting an electronic one that I purchased for my dad’s birthday. It automatically won’t sound the alarm when it’s dark outside- a nice feature. They also have a 2-year warranty and is all created in Germany. They packed it well in a box for international travel. And explained how to get the tax refund back at the airport. Easier than anticipated. This store is doing something right to be around for 100 years!

Very disappointing experience. The blonde shop assistant was quite rude from the start, especially towards us once she realized we weren’t from here. Her attitude seemed focused only on making a quick sale, speaking to us impatiently and in a disrespectful way, even though there were no other customers in the store. At no point did she show any friendliness or willingness to help, which made the whole experience uncomfortable. It’s a shame, because the shop itself could be nice, but the customer service really lets it down. I wouldn’t come back.

Awful experience at this place yesterday. An older lady with short white hair, who I wasn’t sure was an employee but was clearly part of the staff, came up to me with a hostile and unfriendly demeanor. She touched the sipping part of my closed tea cup with her finger. She then continued to gesture in a bossy and unfriendly way, demanding that I close the sipping part. She absolutely could have asked politely. I had just entered the store and did not see any signs warning about this. Since my tea was covered and only the sipping part was open, I did not think it was an issue. Her actions were very disrespectful and crossed the boundaries of personal space and hygiene. Touching someone’s drink, let alone the part you drink from, is inappropriate and very disrespectful. I was polite the entire time while trying to understand her because I do not speak German, but after that interaction, and out of respect for my kids, who were there and saw the situation, I decided not to buy anything and walked out of the store. Actions like that are unacceptable and show a lack of manners and customer service etiquette. A store should respect boundaries and basic manners, and this one failed entirel

The store already looks good from the outside, with the decoration and the display. The souvenirs are good very good quality, with mainly beer glasses and mugs, and wooden clocks. Workers are very helpful, and packed everything to survive the flight, which they managed successfully
