About Mataró
Café : Kaffee, Kuchen, Schnecken und Gözleme
Located at Wörther Str. 25, 10405 Berlin-Bezirk Pankow, Mataró operates as a café serving Berlin in Berlin. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
For a place to eat or drink in Germany, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open today (many restaurants keep a weekly Ruhetag), does it take reservations for dinner, and does the menu suit your group. Tipping is modest, rounding up or adding 5-10% when you pay, and while cards are accepted in most places, cash is still the safe choice at bakeries, Imbiss stands and beer gardens. Tap water is not served automatically, and bottles you take away carry a Pfand deposit.
Opening hours are published for 6 days a week. Typical hours are 8 am–6 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file. More information is available on its website, cafe-mataro.de.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 230 reviews, which is a strong result for a café in Berlin and suggests consistent service.
Berlin is in the state of Berlin, the capital and largest city of Germany; summers are warm, winters grey and cold with occasional snow, and the dense U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus network puts most businesses within a few minutes' walk of a stop. Getting around Berlin is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Berlin and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

Coffee and pastry were good. Cake less so. No WC. The server/owner was only friendly to his regulars. He seemed to only tolerate the rest of us.

An absolutely wonderful place! The owner, bakes all the cakes himself with much love, and they taste amazing. The coffee is great and the warm, friendly atmosphere makes every visit special. Highly recommended!

Finally I’ve found it. The best coffee place in Prenzlauer Berg. For coffee enthusiasts like me, they serve 100% Arabica - delicious. The prices are extremely affordable, 2€ for Cortado! What makes it special is the super friendly and welcoming owner. Will definitely come back to try his carrot cake 🙌 Highly recommend!
