For a place to eat or drink in Germany, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open today (many restaurants keep a weekly Ruhetag), does it take reservations for dinner, and does the menu suit your group. Tipping is modest, rounding up or adding 5-10% when you pay, and while cards are accepted in most places, cash is still the safe choice at bakeries, Imbiss stands and beer gardens. Tap water is not served automatically, and bottles you take away carry a Pfand deposit.
Opening hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 12–11 pm. Note that it does not open on Wednesday. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is 030 2138826. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. Berlin is in the state of Berlin, the capital and largest city of Germany; summers are warm, winters grey and cold with occasional snow, and the dense U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus network puts most businesses within a few minutes' walk of a stop. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The reviews are justified. Was here on the last day of my Berlin Trip and found it online. Service was very friendly and is at least Bilingual (German + English) if not more. Food are big portions and very delicous. As seen in the pictures, I had a Medium Spicy Red Lentil Soup as a starter, followed by a Peanut Curry with Garlic Naan and Mango Lassi to drink. It was great and I would recommend it to other people if they like Indian Food.

I had a great experience at Maharadscha Indische Restaurant. The chicken curry was really delicious, full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The beer was amazing and paired very well with the food. A special mention to Abhishek. He was very friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. I will definitely come back again! 🍛🍺

First time in Berlin. Found the restaurant while out for a walk and called in for a table. The service was really good and it helped that they spoke English with us. The food was fantastic. So many flavours and just the right heat for me. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

I had a very pleasant dining experience at Maharadscha. The food was flavorful, well-prepared, and served fresh. The spices were balanced perfectly — rich and aromatic without being overpowering. You can really taste the authenticity in the dishes. The portions were generous and the quality was consistent throughout the meal. Everything arrived hot and nicely presented. It’s clear that care is taken in both cooking and service. The staff was polite, attentive, and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere was calm and comfortable, suitable for both a relaxed dinner and a casual outing. Overall, Maharadscha offers excellent Indian food with good value for money. I would definitely visit again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine in Berlin.
