This listing does not fit neatly into one of our main categories, which is common for businesses that combine several activities under one roof. München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around München is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

Not your normal tourist destination. However, nice memorial to a brother & sister. Beautiful large staircase. Some grand details.

Do not go on the exchange program. What a downgrade from the University of Vienna. How is this considered prestigious? The professors have too many other priorities so they'll change class times, they'll never respond to emails and the quality of teaching is just so poor.

The only thing that is elite about this university is the teaching and location. Regarding the digitalization, proactivity, processes and bureaucracy this is the worst experience I’ve ever had. Do yourself a favor and go for TUM.

An international student from Asia, I traveled to LMU Munich in Germany to participate in an offline EUGLOH course. I encountered a series of discriminatory incidents. At LMU, other students in the course excluded me and refused to form a group with me to complete assignments. A male instructor demonstrated repeated exaggerating movement of adjusting his belt in front of me while cornering me in the classroom, which led me to report sexual harassment; however, my complaint was not accepted. However, later another female teacher claimed I was "unfit" for their course and demanded that I voluntarily withdraw. Though I refused, on the last day, this teacher finally brought in the Dean, who, in the presence of multiple students, rudely dragged me out of the classroom with my arms and slammed the door loudly in my face as a form of physical and psychological intimidation. In addition, several students in the course (including Germans) constantly emitted abusive laughter all throughout the course. I repeatedly protested that such cruelty-based laughter was unacceptable, but they ignored my feelings and requests, continuing to use laughter as a psychological weapon against me. Their laug

My Alma Mater. I visited this best German university for my master degree with proud and honor between winter term 2017 and summer term 2019. And now I'll be there again for my PhD program. One thing that I would suggest is to digitalize the whole institution in every single aspect, just like its neighbor competitor, the TUM 😉
