Ludwig

Ludwig is a club in Bamberg, Bayern. It is listed at Franz-Ludwig-Straße 5A, 96047 Bamberg, which places it among the local businesses of Bamberg that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

For a place to eat or drink in Germany, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open today (many restaurants keep a weekly Ruhetag), does it take reservations for dinner, and does the menu suit your group. Tipping is modest, rounding up or adding 5-10% when you pay, and while cards are accepted in most places, cash is still the safe choice at bakeries, Imbiss stands and beer gardens. Tap water is not served automatically, and bottles you take away carry a Pfand deposit.

Opening hours are published for 1 day a week. On most of those days it is open 23:00–04:00. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Ludwig on 0951 3094102; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions, and many businesses also take enquiries and bookings by e-mail or WhatsApp. Its website is ludwig-bamberg.de, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Its Google rating is 3.6 out of 5 from 716 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect before you commit to a visit.

Bamberg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.
