For a place to eat or drink in Germany, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open today (many restaurants keep a weekly Ruhetag), does it take reservations for dinner, and does the menu suit your group. Tipping is modest, rounding up or adding 5-10% when you pay, and while cards are accepted in most places, cash is still the safe choice at bakeries, Imbiss stands and beer gardens. Tap water is not served automatically, and bottles you take away carry a Pfand deposit.

Opening hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 11:30 am–11 pm. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Kokono Nürnberg on 0911 24293399; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions, and many businesses also take enquiries and bookings by e-mail or WhatsApp. Its website is kokono-restaurant.de, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Google across 3,167 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded chinesisch, thai, vietnamesisch & indisch in Nürnberg.

Nürnberg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in Nürnberg, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

Love the atmosphere 👌 the food is okay. Just like any other sushi 🍣 nothing special. Around €130 something for what we got.

As soon as you walk through the door, you are welcomed and seated. This place has a large amount of sesting, and with coordination, can potentially host events. My friends and I came in to try the menu and ordered various items. Why this place got my top review? The atmosphere was welcoming with beautiful art, the orders were placed promptly and came out before we expected it, and they show passion by making the food look amazing (and the taste!). My friends orders some pho, curry, and tuna steak, while I got the sushi. Everything on the menu u is good.

We visited this restaurant on March 8, which was a Sunday. We had reserved a table in advance. When we arrived, we were seated right next to the kitchen, next to the food serving table. It was very uncomfortable, very noisy, stuffy, and smelled strongly of food, and literally within minutes my clothes were saturated with the smell of food. Having booked a table in advance, we were hoping for a more comfortable seat. There were plenty of free tables on the second floor, and I asked to be moved, but they refused. On the plus side: impressive and fast service 👌🏻 The rolls were not bad, but overpriced. The staff was obviously tired, but they were trying their best. But we won't be coming back here again.

Loved the place. Interiors are intresting. There is ample sitting on first floor as well. Food is great. Just the pricing is on the higher side as compared to places around. Definitely the quality of ingredients and taste is something i would go back

Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing sushi restaurant visits I’ve had. I ordered sushi that clearly had the word “spicy” in the name, but it was not spicy at all and honestly didn’t look very appetising either. Other sushi we ordered were better, but I still don’t understand why an item labelled spicy delivers none of that expectation. The reservation situation was also strange. We had a reservation, yet when we arrived, we were told we could either sit at the only available table next to the entrance on the ground floor or wait in line for a table upstairs. That felt wrong to me — when you book a table, you expect an actual reserved seating option, not a choice between waiting or sitting somewhere you wouldn’t normally choose. Service was minimal and not attentive, especially considering the price level. The wine was fine, but overall the experience did not match what you pay for. This made the restaurant feel overpriced for what it offers. The women’s bathroom was in very poor condition: no proper locks, not clean, the toilet seat wasn’t fixed properly, paper lying on the floor instead of the bin, and no soap available at the sinks. The paper towel dispenser a
