For a place to eat or drink in Germany, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open today (many restaurants keep a weekly Ruhetag), does it take reservations for dinner, and does the menu suit your group. Tipping is modest, rounding up or adding 5-10% when you pay, and while cards are accepted in most places, cash is still the safe choice at bakeries, Imbiss stands and beer gardens. Tap water is not served automatically, and bottles you take away carry a Pfand deposit.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 12–2:30 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around public holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach KOI Restaurant on 089 89081926; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions, and many businesses also take enquiries and bookings by e-mail or WhatsApp. More information is available on its website, koi-restaurant.de.

Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 1,165 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded sushi & japanisch in München.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around München is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

This is a polished spot for a business lunch, and the setting near Odeonsplatz delivers the right kind of quiet professionalism. The bento box was well-presented and the quality was solid, though the portions lean modest for the price point. If you’re used to lunch as a quick refuel, you may leave wanting a little more. The matcha mochi for dessert was a lovely finish. That said, the atmosphere works well for a meeting where the conversation matters as much as the meal. The server was attentive and unhurried, which makes a difference when you’re with clients or colleagues. It’s on the expensive side for a weekday lunch, so go in with calibrated expectations. Good quality, nice space, but you’re paying more for the location and the upscale feel.

One of the enjoyable sushi restaurants I’ve been to in Munich. Every time I visit, the food is fresh and delicious. The wine list is much more extensive than the food menu. We always follow the waiter’s recommendations and end up drinking excellent wines. You definitely won’t leave this place unhappy.

Went to Koi Munich for a team event and chose the discovery menu — outstanding experience. Despite usually not loving shared menus, we were blown away by both quantity and quality. The spread was generous and full of flavor: a great variety of sushi, chicken, beef tartare, and more. Everything was beautifully plated and genuinely delicious. Special kudos to the team for allergy management. We had vegetarians as well as someone with soy and nut allergies - not easy for a Japanese restaurant - and everyone ate extremely well and left fully satisfied. The décor is stylish and slightly bougie, which I personally loved. The only minor downside is the lack of a fully private space for events. We were placed on the second floor with no other guests, but could still hear the rest of the restaurant. However, a very small thing overall. Highly recommended for team events or special occasions if you’re looking for great food, strong service, and a refined atmosphere.

Great place. Very nice non ginger alcoholic cocktail and home lemonade. Staff speaks English. Very good food, nice selection. Tuna tacos are awesome! They also offer nice box options for lunch.

The food was decent but nothing special or memorable. The restaurant is quite crowded, likely because of its location, but I’ve had better dining experiences in Munich with same restaurant type.
