The food was nice enough but the service was incredibly slow. Had to wait ages to order food and drinks and then about another 45 mins for anything to show up. Like a lot of restaurants, they seem to be trying to service both in-house dining and take-away businesses without the infrastructure or staff to do so, meaning that in-house customers suffer a reduced level of service. Probably wouldn't race back (although this is somewhat academic, as I was only visiting Regensburg on holiday).

We went there due to google images looking appetizing and cozy, and we were not disappointed in the slightest! The sushi and drinks were absolutely delicious and affordable, crafted with effort and care. The ingredients of the highest quality, we loved the saki inside out! Additionally you can customise any sushi as you please (for ex. We asked for no cucumber and leek and instead got more avocado and cream cheese inside ♥️) and the best and sweetest part - you can take drinks for take out! We got our drinks in an adorable Cloud9 cup - also a very welcoming and delicious cafe connected to Koi 1984. Overall, the staff was amazing, fluent in English, helpful and welcoming! Always serving with a smile and great energy, the entire place looks very neat, clean, and cozy. Definitely a great place to hang out with friends as we saw a few groups enjoying their time! We didn't take pictures of the sushi (we ate it shortly after) but here's the drinks we got for takeaway!

The sushi is wow, the fish feels fresh, we've eaten there 2 times. It was really delicious. A small thing that maybe could be a bother: depending on who's serving, they might not speak English or German at all and we didn't get a bill. Sometimes, you need to ask for a second portion of soja sauce. Personally, it doesn't bother me, the quality is really good, which left me pleasantly surprised. They deserve 5 stars. It's busy most of the times, for the second evening we made a reservation. Dessert (mocha ice cream) is also amazing!
