Very nice experience, great atmosphere. The food was good and tasty but a little expensive. A small beer was 5 euros and in total we paid 65 euros for 4 persons.

Very good experience. Accommodated our very big group of 15 people. They seemed to only have one server for a very big area, but he was very friendly and was very fast at getting drinks/food and was very attentive. There are also bathrooms located inside buildings and near the outskirts of the area. Lots and lots of seating, even on a a Sunday at lunchtime. Large menu and many options. Food was very traditionally Bavarian and very good. You can also purchase ice cream at stands nearby.

Great experience at this beer garden! The food was fantastic and of course the beer was excellent! Our party of 6 loved the experience. Although it was a very hot day in July we enjoyed sitting outside and cooling off with a refreshing beer. Our server was fantastic! Definitely recommend...this was on our list of things to visit while staying in Munich and it was very well worth the trip!

Königlicher Hirschgarten offers an authentic taste of Bavaria, celebrated for its classic, hearty beer garden fare. The culinary crown jewel is the Schweinshaxe (roasted pork knuckle), featuring incredibly crispy skin and tender, juicy meat, perfectly paired with traditional potato dumplings. Visitors also flock here for Obatzda, a rich, savory Camembert cheese spread best enjoyed slathered over giant, freshly baked Brezn (pretzel). To wash it down, the venue famously serves fresh Augustiner beer drawn directly from traditional wooden casks, providing a smooth, crisp finish that beautifully complements the rustic, flavorful dishes. The best part of our trip to Munich! Vanessa, our waitress, made me emotional because we honestly hadn't had very friendly customer service the past few days. We are traveling with our 4 young kids and they've always seemed like a burden wherever we go. But not here. Not with Vanessa. She was extremely friendly, smiled at our kids, always checked on us, gave us the best suggestions for our meals and even her favorite desserts, and made the entire experience very enjoyable. I highly recommend the Veal Schnitzel and the duck. All of our kids devoured the kids' schnitzel and the portions were big. The Ratler beer was definitely our favorite too. Make sure you get the Kaiserschmarrn for dessert. It reminded us of a very thick Dutch Baby or a thick Swedish pancake. Super yummy. The whole atmosphere of this place is friendly and fun. There is plenty of seating indoors and outdoors and they did have the heaters on outside since it was a bit chilly. The park is close by for kids to run around afterwards. There is parking right at the park but it's limited so you may need to navigate street parking (just be aware). Make sure you visit this place, especially if you have kids with you!
