Located at Joseph-Mayer-Straße 1, 86154 Augsburg-Oberhausen, KJF Klinik Josefinum operates as a krankenhäuser serving Augsburg in Bayern. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Medical services in Bayern range from neighbourhood practices to university hospitals. Bring your insurance card, any previous test results and a list of medications you take. Your Hausarzt (family doctor) is normally the first stop and issues the referral (Überweisung) that specialists and hospitals ask for. Pharmacies (Apotheken) are separate businesses that dispense the prescription you are handed, and every district keeps a Notdienst rota so that one pharmacy is open at night and on Sundays.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are Open 24 hours. As with most places, expect changes around public holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is 0821 24120. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. Its website is josefinum.de, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Its Google rating stands at 3.2 out of 5 from 694 reviews, which is below average for the category; consider the recent reviews carefully before visiting.

Augsburg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around Augsburg is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

The best experience I have ever had

Nalleli Malanco Edited 10 months ago

Terrible experience giving birth here. The personnel is cruel and rude. Just one nurse was "kind" to me. I had a C-section. The doctor in the O.R. were fine. The problem was in postpartum. They put me a urine catheter, by the 2nd day a nurse, without notice just pull it out strongly while I was brushing my teeth, it was a terrible experience and pain. Wasn't enough the operation pain? Unfortunately, my milk was not coming down i asked for 3 days for a breastfeeding consultation they just ignored me. Just one nurse from Tunisia was a very kind and loving person. But the rest... apparently angry the whole time or they dont like their job. People is sick, people is in pain, people is already having a hard time and the nurses make it harder and painful to be honest. The food! My God. You only get bread and butter for breakfast and dinner, I mean you are in postpartum... bread and butter?. I mean, it is not for free we pay monthly almost 1000 eur for the insurance. However, the pediatric hospital is great. The attention is quick and really good, particularly for very young babies. In this case I have no complaints at all. I can highly recommend it. You still get bread and butter

Unfortunately, I don't have an option to give less than 1 star. It's a shame for this hospital and doctors to be in Medical industry. Doctors here are very slow and takes long time to consult their outpatients in emergency. If they figure out that the patient is not under critical condition in emergency, they take liberty to enjoy their own time and in own pace. We went on Monday evening and waited almost 3 hours to consult a doctor. And the main point to be noted is, we were third patient waiting. Over this, there is a stupid German Beurocracy that only certain hospitals are allowed to prescribe medicines and others don't. Please stay away from this hospital if you are in emergency. Being more precise, try to stay away from Germany, if one is planing to come here.

The wait is forever, nothing they did worked any of the times I’ve been there, and people are always smoking around the entrance and no one does anything about it. Nasty. The ER doctors clearly have no idea what they’re doing and my kid never came out of there any better off.

1. Sorry to say that the gatekeeper or secretary for the kids psychiatric department has issues. I was told that we are in Germany and there are rules to be followed. When you are in crisis and need support this is not constructive. 2. The psychiatric department told me that children with complex health problems including "intelligenzminderung" are not well catered for in the German system. No help available at their clinic. Too niche? What about the UN charter of 1949 which expressly calls upon the nation to protect its disabled citizens. Sickening lack of care and support. Menschlichkeit? Shame on you. 3. Thanks for the message to say that you will follow up internally. The catastrophe is even bigger than at the start because It turns out that you should have referred us to the specialists in Hochried who are your organisational partners!!! https://www.klinikhochried.de/de/akutklinik-psychosomatische-epileptologie.html

today I am an adult but in 1966 I was 6 years old and for 2 years I was treated in this clinic. very good, the staff, nurses, physiotherapists, all the team were compatible, professional and kind. many years have passed and I don't know how the are now but I have good memories of this place.

My wife delivered at the Josefinum and i must say that they have the best Krizall team there who are always smiling and treating all with respect and care and giving tips on how to get the delivery done in a better way. Since this was our first kid, we were tensed since we had no prior experience or due to cancelled birth classes(thanks to corona), everything we learnt was through online videos and books. The whole process of getting admitted and discharge was smooth. As a whole the hospital is very well maintained and you just need to ask to get help. Parking could be done outside the streets or if you are a visitor inside the garage though its paid parking (kassenautomat inside the eingang area). May be only small negative i observed was even though you are fully vaccinated , they will ask for schnell test results to go inside the hospital for subsequent visits and also they might only allow either wife or husband to visit labor or doctor.

I’m very disappointed and unsatisfied with the food provided at this hospital. Someone that I care about very much has to eat the food at this hospital and always receives stomach aches. Please provide healthier and better food options. This patient is definitely not the only one who isn’t satisfied with your choices in food.
