Die St. Margareth-Kirche in der Spitalgasse von Augsburg strahlt eine spirituelle Atmosphäre aus und blickt auf eine lange Geschichte zurück. Die rote Fassade hat einen reizvollen Charme, der sofort ins Auge fällt. Das Kirchlein stammt aus dem 18. Jahrhundert und liegt am Fuß des Milchbergs. Insgesamt wirkt der Ort friedlich und erhebend, ein Ort der Stille, der zum Verweilen einlädt.

Wir waren am Totensonntag zufällig in der Nähe und hatten noch Zeit, als wir durch das Glockenleuten kurzentschlossen am Gottesdienst teilgenommen haben. Die Kirche sowie der Gottesdienst und ganz besonders die Musik haben uns verzaubert. Wunderschön! Es hat mich sehr berührt!

Die kleine Kirche ist auf jeden einen Besuch wert und ist eine kleine Abwechslung zu den ganzen gotischen Kirchen in der Umgebung. Die Geschichte der Kirche geht auf das 13. Jahrhundert zurück, als das Dominikanerinnenkloster durch eine Stiftung entstand. Ursprünglich war der Vorgängerbau gotisch und wurde 1333 zerstört. 1521 wurde die Kirche von Grund auf neu errichtet. Im Jahr 1538 gelangte das Kloster und die erneut zerstörte Kirche in die Hände des benachbarten Heilig-Geist-Spitals. 1594 wurde die Kirche wiedererrichtet. Im Jahr 1720 entstand die Kirche in ihrer heutigen barocken Form, nach alten Plänen von 1618/1620. Leider konnte ich nur ein Foto von der Tür aus machen, da der Innenraum von einem Gitter versperrt wird.

old church from the 1720, interior design is very old and with lots of beutiful shrines and a painting decorating the ceiling. the wooden stairs that leads to the Organ are kept from the Original construction.

Hier wird die heilige Messe im römischen Ritus gefeiert. Sehr empfehlenswert. Atmosphäre der Heiligkeit. Gute Predigten.

Von außen eine schöne Kirche. Leider war sie zu. Ich hätte gerne mal einen Blick reingeworfen.

Sehr schöne kleine Kirche. Die heiligen Messen werden von der Petrus Bruderschaft nach dem alten Ritus auf Latein gehalten. Ein erhebendes Erlebnis. Besonderst die Osternacht. 👍👍👍😇
