Berlin is in the state of Berlin, the capital and largest city of Germany; summers are warm, winters grey and cold with occasional snow, and the dense U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus network puts most businesses within a few minutes' walk of a stop. Getting around Berlin is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Berlin and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

It was okay but you should visit with a class, not alone with your kids. It isn't really interesting without a guide..

Very near the sbahn station. So it was pretty accessible. Located at the top floor literally under the roof (hence the name), smallish - so it doesn’t lead to any museum fatigue. The installations were quite uniquely designed. And my kid liked it a lot. One thing that can be improved: providing the content in English also or have some way in which people from other countries can also understand the installations.

The place is on the 5th and 6th floor of the building. 5th is the entrance floor and you get a wristband which is used during the visit. The staff was nice and friendly. There is an English booklet for non German speakers. In my opinion, kids at least be able to read in order to understand what's going on. It was even complex for me what to do in each section. The place is clean and well organized.

It was a little hard to find the museum. It's located inside the big red building on the 5th floor (outside there is a big construction site currently). The kids had a nice time there, discovering about the types of food and the components, it requires parents assistance to go through the stations and solve challenges. At the end of the journey, kids can paint their own plates.
